Dogs of this breed have excellent relationships with children by nature, they love family and long to be in its center - on the contrary, it is very difficult for them to stay alone. If a barbet feels insecure and doubts his upbringing, he usually decides not to take his master and his demands seriously and begins to organize his life himself.

Medium-sized dogs, a characteristic feature of which is the so-called sheep fur, which also covers the head, including the muzzle. This particular breed, one of the oldest, is considered the ancestor of poodles, as well as long-haired shepherds. Unfortunately, some time ago this breed almost completely disappeared, and its current standard is basically a successful breeding reconstruction of the 70s of the last century.

A cursory glance is enough and it is immediately clear that the barbet belongs to the breeds that require exemplary care of wool. The very structure of this wool shows a great tendency to felting, so regular combing and combing is an absolute necessity.
